Housed in the original Foynes Air Terminal building, the museum contains a collection of Aviation Memorabilia from a time when Foynes was a strategic hub for transatlantic traffic (1939 – 1945). Significant repository of original port records for Foynes in storage. Records for the Aviation aspect of the port have been archived. Original electronic equipment (transmitters, receivers etc.). Large scale reconstruction of the fuselage and interior of a seaplane. Previously included boats / tenders used for servicing the seaplanes. These have now disappeared.
