This centre located on Inis Mor, has a small exhibition of models illustrating how currachs are made.The curator did not feel the need to have equipment within the heritage centre, as this can be seen in use all around the Island. The centre hosts a daily showing of “The Man of Aran”, the noted film portraying the stark reality of lives of the people of Aran in the past (emphasising the hardships of the fisherman). It includes excellent footage of using and fishing from the currachs.
