The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) is Ireland’s National Museum for contemporary art. IMMA is also the home of the national collection of modern and contemporary art and takes responsibility for the care and maintenance of this national resource. Located in the beautiful and historic grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, IMMA is open to the public six days a week; Tuesday to Sunday. IMMA has a dynamic and changing programme of exhibitions, drawn both from the National Collection and temporary solo and group exhibitions featuring major Irish and International artists. Entrance to the majority of the exhibitions at IMMA is free of charge and IMMA has a busy complimentary programme of talks, lectures and other events for all ages.
