Kilbeggan Distillery is the oldest distillery in Ireland. Dating back to 1757, a visit today lets you discover real artisanal Irish whiskey distilling at its finest. See for yourself the traditional method of mashing in oak mash tuns, fermenting in Oregon pine vats and the new Kilbeggan malt spirit flowing from the 180 year old pot still. A tour of Kilbeggan Distillery will take you back in time to discover how Irish whiskey was made during John Lockes ownership of the distillery during the 19th century before bringing you into the present where you can hear, smell and taste Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey as it is distilled today. The perfect marriage of the past and present makes Kilbeggan Distillery an authentic Irish experience not to be missed. We have various tours options. You can take the self-guided tour with an informative map and leaflet and wander around independently or if you would prefer a guided tour, our Silver and Gold Medal Tours are available. The Silver Medal Tour will include a master class in tasting 3 Irish Whiskeys. The Gold Medal Tour includes a visit to the warehouse, a meet & greet with our distiller and a master class in tasting 4 unique Irish Whiskeys. Our exclusive tour is The Connoisseur Experience Tour. This tour is available on the first Friday of each month from May to October. The duration of this tour is 3.5hrs with our Global Brand Ambassador, John Cashman.
