Housed in a historic mariners church, contains possibly the largest and most comprehensive collection of maritime artefacts in the country. Includes models, boats, communication and navigation equipment, merchant marine textiles, naval and fishing memorabilia, photographic collections, paintings, and shipwreck artefacts from the Tayleur, Leinster and the Great Eastern. Repository for the important Halpin collection (last Captain of the Great Eastern). Operated by the Maritime Institute of Ireland. Has a fairly extensive catalogue.
