The Museum has a large area dedicated to the life and art of the fisherman, It includes various types of fishing equipment such as lobster pots of different designs (one of which is made of heather) The museum has around a dozen boats on display, including a number of currachs, a Moy Cot, and a Moy Cobble. There is also an example of a rush built craft, and a coracle. The museum has an extensive archive including a large photographic collection. There is a large amount of fishing equipment in storage, including other boats and currachs, and many artifacts are on loan to other institutions.
