Kerry County Museum is located in Ashe Memorial Hall, Tralee (county of Kerry)

While dealing mainly with the general history and archaeology of the county, the museum includes a permanent exhibition on the life of Kerryman Tom Crean, an early 20th Century polar explorer, who took part in the “Discovery”, “Terranova” and”Endurance” expeditions to the Antartic, the latter of which is generally accepted as being one of the greatest feats of maritime survival and navigation in the last century. This exhibit includes information panels and artifacts owned by the Crean Family. Other maritime exhibits include 18th Century ships cannon & cannon balls from Smerwick, a ships bell, and a recreation of the Port Geraldine.
