Housed in the Tourism Office alongside the historic quay, the exhibition includes a small collection of models indicative of the evolution of boats used in Youghal from the middle ages. Mainly a document based exhibition but describes very well the rich maritime history of Youghal. Contains reproductions of port records now held in the Cork Archives Institute. Explains the important “cog” type boat used in medieval Ireland.
