Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club is located in Pidgeon House Road, Ringsend, Dublin (county of Dublin)
Position on map:
The club is situated on the south bank of the River Liffey within the Port of Dublin. Within it’s mix of sailing boats, the Club has attracted a number of restored wooden traditional yachts and converted fishing boats, as well several recent reconstructions. They include one of the few surviving “Zulu” class boats, “The Bracan Lass”, and a number of Galway Hookers, (eg) “The Morning Star”, the construction of which was recorded for a film documentary a few years back. The Club also holds a collection of models. The building next to the Club houses the “Stella Maris” Rowing Club, which has a number of traditional East Coast Skiffs.
