River Nore Snap Net Fishermen’s Association is located in River Nore, Kilkenny (county of Kilkenny)

From Inishtioge on the Nore to the Barrow River, Snap Netting is carried out in a canoe style wooden boat called a Nore Cot. The boats are all very similar, with a larger version used for racing. Along the river are mud berths known as “Leaba na Mbad”.
