The Glandore Harbour Yacht Club organise a bi-annual classic boat regatta, bringing together locally owned working boats and traditional yachts (together with a selection of international traditional yachts, as the event is on the international calender). Of the five surviving Six-Oar Gigs in Ireland, two are kept in Glandore. The committee hold documentation on a number of local boats and boatbuilders, including a good selection of plans, prints and photographs. They also run a bi-annual exhibition of locally owned models, which includes models of Kinsale Hookers, Baltimore Smacks, and the Brendan Boat.
