Based around the Blennerville Windmill, the centre houses a number of maritime exhibits, including several models. A series of models by Monty Leary (Traditional Naomhog Builder) demonstrate the building of a currach. There are also 2 models of the famous “Jeannie Johnston”, the noted emigrant ship, of which a full working replica was recently built here, amid some controversy. Other exhibits deal with the port and canal of Blennerville, which was the main point of emmigration from County Kerry during the famine. It includes information displays and a large scale model village. Various other miscellaneous maritime memorabilia.
